A Conversation for Talking Point: Bad Habits

Socks. They're my bad habit. I take them off in the lounge and leave them there. Then somehow they get prodded under the sofa, and six months later we wonder what the smell is and why the sofa is all uneven and why I haven't got any socks...
The habits I find intolerable in other people is the habit of waiting until someone else wants a coffee rather than going to make one themselves. I work with people who will go dry all day rather than walk 50m to the coffee/tea facilities, and as I crack about once an hour I spend all day running round making people drinks. And I'm supposed to be in charge, dammit.
I once refused to eat a chicken's testicle in Nepal, which was considered rude. I also nearly vomited a badly-made pizza over a family dinner table in France after I'd been plucked from the side of a motorway in the rain.
I've just passed the 12-month anniversary of giving up smoking. Unfortunately, I replaced fags with food, and 365 massive dinners and afternoon cream teas later I'm bursting at the seams.

may be related to you do all of these except I am not in charge just badly in need of caffeine and also tend to distribute shoes along with the socks. Thankfully there is no space under my sofa for these.
Once shared a flat with a guy who used to put his chicken bones under the couch and never seemed to understand why anyone complained. He also saved used lard in the frying pan.
