of staying up too late on h2
At least I can blame it on 2legs, and the rest of the Brits for being awake and busy online when I'm meant to be sleeping.

There are some that claim they never or don't need to sleep.
This might be possible if one were able to close down or rest one part of the brain whilst keeping "active" the other part of the brain. So for instance this could be achieved by resting the left hemisphere, whilst keeping the right hemisphere active, then rewakening the left hemisphere and resting the right hemisphere. Some hypothesize that this is what dolphins and sharks do - in relatively short time intervals.
Furthermore it seems that some people have the ability to rest both hemispheres of the brain at the same time whilst giving the appearance of being awake ... at least this is what appears to be the talent of a few individuals that contribute to 606 .
ps the wink eye emoticon is not particularly clear on h2g2 as it is for 606
