h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

There was a film the other day- "Blame It On The Bellboy", on BBC1, where the plot was lots of guys with similar names go to the same hotel and the bellboy puts them in the wrong rooms, and one's meant to be buying a house, another's a target for assassinatioon etc. Same damn plot!

I didn't see that. When there are films on TV I avoid them if I've never heard of them/look like blatant Americanist propoganda.

I only watched it because I had insomnia

I usualy read a good book.

Press- ups or alcohol. A good book gets me thinking, which makes it harder to sleep.

OK, a bad book, like the dictionary.

You want a REALLY bad book, like Arthur C Clarke

Year ok, so read a script off a comic, with no pictures the plot is so dry your bound to go

Read "A History of Time". It's not that it's a particularly bad book, it's just that most people (especially those interested in such things) never seem to get past page 83. Or something like that.

I duno, I bet I could, doutfull If I'd understand it.

I doubt I'd understand it either. But a couple of hundred pages of not understanding has got to be pretty boring.

I thought this book was about getting science up a gear into reality and down from 'magic' Sci-fi.

At least it was suposed to be easy...

I'm gonna read Descartes' "Meditations". That's meant to be fairly easy going philosophy.

hmm, if you want a good book, in which you'd learn lots of philosophy, read Sophies World, I Recomend it.
