I cry at sad stories, real life tragedies (e.g. WTC on 11/9), great sporting moments whether my side/team/favourite has won or lost (e.g. Paula Radcliffe winning the London Marathon) etc.
Have been known to cry when I get really mad or frustrated, also when I laugh too much and also sometimes when I make love with my partner.

Aww, njan...smiley - sadface

I feel bad about crying in public because it makes me feel too vulnerable. So I was surprised when I cried at my cousin's wedding. It was a traditional affar, chuch, white dress, weil etc. I never even wanted a wedding like that myself! So why did I cry? I'm still not sure.

The other day I cried while listening to a Piazzolla tango... also a bit surprising. But it probably has something to do with being in love....smiley - blush

Glad I'm not the only one to well up at great sporting triumphs. I don't know why I do it, I am not much of a sportswoman and don't really follow any teams or anything but still the tears are there. Odd.

Also weddings and other happy occasions. I think highly charged emotional moments of any flavour bring tears to my eyes - its a right pain.

Have shed more tears than usual over ER recently too.

smiley - wah

I think I usually get frustrated and mad instead of cry.

Frustration makes me cry too, which is very frustrating! If it is during an argument it makes me look weak and lacking in control, or too emotional. It is a major failing, because I may still be answering in a rational manner tears in my eyes make it look as though I'm 'just being emotional'. I'm not - I just can't stop my eyes getting soggy. smiley - flustered

Last time I cried was when watching the 'Correspondent' programme called 'Suing the Pope', about victims of clerical abuse in Wexford. I live in the locality, and know people who had dealings with Sean Fortune, including some who had their first confession from him, though I don't know any abuse victims. So the subject was a little close to home. The whole story was enough to make you weep with sadness and rage, but what affected me most was the interview with the mother of a man who had committed suicide after being abused. She began to cry - she was in such pain, not having known what was eating away at her son until too late - and she was *so much* like any other woman you'd see around town, if you know what I mean, I felt I knew her even though I don't - that's the best way I can put the reasons into words. Made me cry. It's nearly making me cry again.

Don't mention ER! I was getting to a really emotional bit, when e4 disappeared. smiley - grr I've had to wait for what feels like forever for C4 to catch up! I just *know* there will be tears very soon!

HAving to say goodbye at airports or train stations.

I tend to do a lot of this. I even once had a job working with international people and there was always coming ang going. That I could handle.

It's saying goodbye to FC all the time at the moment that is hard. I've been doing it for over a year but the the gaps between seeing her are actually getting longer again so the tears are welling up again. smiley - sadface
