Interesting about the wrapped universe. You say we could see the back of our head - if we advanced from the other direction, would we be able to see our face?

Um... no... If you look in one direction the back of your head points the other direction and according to this supposition of a wrap around universe, with a powerful enough telescope (and apparently instantaneous light speed) no matter which direction you look, you'll see the back of your head.
