hehe I've no need got it- it's too hot here as it is without the wool to bunch it up and it doesn't make enough to sell just one sheep's coarse wool...

Well it's a complex system: but I'll try to explain what I know [mind out it's gonna be boring!]. OK, according to the government it cost £6000 to be at uni each yr. The government decided that they couldn't afford to pay for it all as they did in the past. Therefore, they intoroduced 'tuition fees', which are currently at around £1000 a year, and rising. You don't have to pay this if you come from a lower income family.
However, if you're a student, then how are supposed to live, as being a student is a time consuming activity? In the past the government gave grants: you got a lump sum which you could keep. Now, they introduced student loans where you get a sum dependent on your parent's income, and have to pay it back when you have a job after uni... now how interesting was that!!
