This is my first guide entry. I don't know if the content is o.k. but it is all in approved GuideML and there are no spelling mistakes (I think!).

Hi BB!
Gosh, that was quick. You've not been here long and already - an entry.
This is probably one that Just zis Guy will comment on as he's submitted loads of entries on cycling - there's a cyclist's club somewhere. Ah, the h2g2 Cycling club A690572. Worth a look
You will probably want to link with two existing entries -
one on Mountain Biking - A667
and the other on Off Road Bicycles - A209963.
Just one word of warning - where there's already an entry (and I'm not sure whether this one is sufficiently different - it may well be) - you can't submit another in Peer Review. If it updates the original by supplying extra information, it needs to go through an update route, which is separate.
I'm not saying that this one will have to - I don't know.
And you appear to be right. I didn't spot any typos - and I'm normally the first one to spot them.

Some customer protection organisation (or whatever it's called in English) recently did a test of several mountain bikes. They found out that the crucial part is the fork thing that holds the front wheel. Prices range from some 15€ up to 1000+. Surprise, surprise! The most expensive one was the weakest of all and had the following written in the smallprint: 'Your warranty is void if you jump whilst our precious item is mounted on your bike'.
Then they showed pictures of people who had trusted in their equipment and suffered eye damage or multiple jaw breaks
It turned out that the ones priced at some 40€ were actually the best!

it would be helpful to explain just what the different kinds of breaks(and suspension) are as not everyone may be familiar with them. but overall

Best in what terms, though? The best susforks have lockouts, variable damping, anti-dive and all sorts of stuff - you won't find that for 40 Euros. They may be less strong, but a Ferrari is sless strong than an Aveling & Porter steam road roller.

The 40€ pieces were the best in terms of surviving a downhill ride without bruises or more severe lacerations. I see no use in comfortable damping etc ('Ferrari') Schnick-Schnack if it doesn't stay fitted to the bike for long

I wouldn't know - I only have the two (shamelessly unsuspended) bikes.

Thanks for your suggestions guys.Keep 'em coming.
I have added some links to other H2G2 cycling entries as well as new sections explaining differant types of brakes, suspension and frame types.
About the entry on Offroad Bicycles - A209963. I am aware of it but I think it is sufficcently differant than mine. The entry on Offroad Bicycles is about the history of the bicycle and the evolution into todays mountain bike. My entry is more of a guide to buying and maintaining mountain bikes.

Thanks for the reminder
If you're quick then you might fix the typos (refferred, differant, powerfull, Hydralics) before the Sub does it

Your Guide Entry has just been picked from Peer Review by one of our Scouts, and is now heading off into the Editorial Process, which ends with publication in the Edited Guide. We've therefore moved this Review Conversation out of Peer Review and to the entry itself.
If you'd like to know what happens now, check out the page on 'What Happens after your Entry has been Recommended?' at EditedGuide-Process. We hope this explains everything.
Thanks for contributing to the Edited Guide!
