How about, as has been suggested in the threads we continue to 'fast track' minor changes via our current system - where either a Researcher contacts the Sub or h2g2 Editorial Feedback. That way we could avoid a culture of minor updates cluttering up the Update Review Forum - which would be for major updates only.

To my mind, you might as well continue to do that for now, until such time as it becomes too much like hard work for the in-house team at which point we can figure out a more scalable solution
