A paper written last year for an English Literature class analyzing the duality of human nature in Robert Lewis Stevenson's Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. Complete, but suggestions for revision appreciated.

On the one hand I like this - but on the other - Are you discussing the book or the duallity of human nature ?
I think you're discussing duallity and as such you should have different title - but perhaps thats because I didn't get what I expected when I read the article.
Where does consience come in to the behaviour of Mr Hyde ? Without a copy of the book to hand, I seem to recall that Steveson suggested that the overwhelming goodness of Dr Jekyll causes the actions that lead to the downfall of Mr Hyde. That is - Mr Hyde WANTS to be caught, because he recognises that his actions are wrong, which of course of itself throws up another aspect of duallity.
Maybe I'd better quickly have a read before I say any more.

hmm...good point
it's on duality, *in the book*
so i suppose to get the full effect of it you'd need to be familiar with the book
therefore, you're right, i should change the title
to the duality of dr. jekyll and mr. hyde, or somesuch
thanks

Hello
Just a quick opening suggestion, if you are going to start with that story section could you put it in tags? It would just make it's purpose clearer, and make it a less confusing start.

Hmmm.... It's not that there's anything *wrong* with this paper. It's just that I can't myself see what purpose it serves.
It's because of this reason that I don't often find myself recommending entries that are essentially cut and pasted from papers written for school literature classes.
On the other hand, someone else may come along and completely disagree with me.
However, my suggestion would be that if you want to get an entry into the Edited Guide, don't try starting with something you had to write for school. Try writing about something you're really interested in, something that exists in the real world, something that you can describe to other people who haven't seen it or experienced it like you have. Then you'll have something really unique to share with the rest of us.
Just my 2

Hi there Alexandra Marie,
Just wondering whether you intend to pursue this entry any further?
Not offering an opinion meself, mind. Just that this was the very last entry in PR when I found it, and that gives the impression that you've given up on it.

I'll be honest with you, Geggs, I hadn't worked on it for ages. However, I think I made some good points in it, so it might be worth revising. Give me some time to play with it. Perhaps I'll pick it apart and put it together as a new Entry, and if I really like my finished project I'll re-submit it for Peer Review. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I have to say that I rather like it, AMC! I hadn't seen it previously and it addresses interesting thoughts about the nature of humanity, with a Victorian slant.
I'll be interested to see what you do with it. Don't give up!

I'd second it but I'm not properly a scout at the moment.
