Okay, what do you think? Worth going in for PR?
Obv the vital question is "will anyone even read this?". I might have to put in in just to get a response (which will probably be "get lost").

What d'you mean 18 mins? It say 2 weeks on my screen. And it may be more cos I have a journal entry on my page that said 5 days ago when it was 7 days, so obviously h2g2 runs on different time.

*wonders what a smiley would look like*

Don't suppose you actually read my entry.
You just came to tell me off for sulking, right?

er, actually, I commented on another entry of yours about a similar subject (can't immediately remember teh subject name, - oh, hang on - chain stories - and popped in to say hi!

hi! smiley - smiley

skimmed through this one but didn't really read.

I think it was me that mentioned 'consequences' in the other thread, actually, now that I think about it...

anyway, no need to sulk, smiley - smiley

I'm not sure how this was missed - I think there might have been a glut of peer review entries about a fortnight ago...

Anyway, I think this is really good - short and to the point. I would suggest seeing what other entries this could be linked to - there might be something on party games, alcohol, etc that might be worth linking to.

Otherwise, cool!

Otto.

ok, *now* I've read this one too. smiley - smiley

looks fine to me, perhaps it is suffering from researchers knowing the subject too well. Dunno, just a thought...

Anyway, I like it. Nice tone, in particular. smiley - ok

Wow, more than one person has read this.
I think it was you (Spiff) that mentioned consequences, but can't be bothered to look it up. Someone did, anyway.
So what can I do? Links to other games. Right. Anything else?

Have linked to games (basically just a copy/paste from the other entry).

18 minutes, 2 weeks, smiley - shrug... if time doesn't quite flow properly at h2g2, the center of the vortex of screwiness is probably in Writing Workshop. For that reason, and also because this is a good entry about what sounds like a fun game (I hadn't heard of it before), I suggest you get this thing over to Peer Review, before it slips back into the black hole of Writing Workshop's back pages.

There's a spelling typo or two (arguement --> argument), but those are nothing to worry about.

If I can think of any interesting links, I'll let you know. The only ones that spring to mind right away are... there's an Edited Entry somewhere on 'How to keep children occupied on long road trips' or something to that effect. It's linked from 'Noughts-and-Crosses', if you want to use it and can't find it any other way. The gallows humourist in me thinks you should link the word 'drunk' to the recent community-written entry about alcohol abuse, but you don't have to listen to him. Better to link to the Ultimate Cocktail list, or something more general about drinking.

Yeah, get this thing into Peer Review, where it belongs.

Wow, thanks. (I can never keep track of my 'e's in words like argument)

So typos, link things, and put into PR. Will do. In a minute. Or maybe slightly more than a minute. Erm.

Are you still working on this? (I suspect not, given its dormancy) I have spotted a spelling mistake, if you are: 'arguements' should be spelt 'arguments'.

Personally I love the Consequences game; although when I play it we usually have a man's name, then the man's occupation, the woman's name and then her occupation, and we don't usually have the 'he/she did' bits. Perhaps you could mention that as a variation.

Two similar games you might want to mention:

Poetry Consequences
To start, each player writes down the first line of a poem and passes the paper on. Then each player writes a line to rhyme with the first line and another line to start a new couplet, and folds the paper over before passing it on. This goes on, with players writing two lines every time, until someone declares that the game should finish, at which stage each player writes just one line to finish their poem off, and the poems are unfolded and read.

Picture Consequences
Start by writing something that should be possible, but not too easy, to draw. Pass the papers on, draw a picture corresponding to the writing, fold so that only the picture is visible, and pass the papers on again. Write a description of the picture, fold, and pass on. Continue alternating words and pictures in this way until someone has filled up the paper, then unfold.
Ekaterin.
