Not sure but I think "gemstones" is all one word...
bodys energy fields = needs an apostrophe but I'm having brainblock, someone else will have to tell you where it's needed.
is not one of these. It is always wise to consult a professional before using any natural remedy = Needs a space between "these. It"
I really think you need a list of toxic stones, your footnote "such as Malachite" seems inadequate, I want to know more, unless of course you're planning an entry on "toxic gemstones"
A very good entry, well done Serephina

perhaps you are giving an example, then it needs to be

Hi Sandra
Nice entry. Though a little brief
I wonder if you could mention a few techniques. How the chakras are important in the layout of crystal therepy. How they can be used to cleanse the body, for meditation, stress and general balancing.
Also how Australian aborigines considered crystals to be scared and used quartz (called wild stones) in initiation rites of healers and shamens.
Native North americans also used quartz for healing and held in high regard. They srpead crushed quartz over fields that did'nt get much light and sun.
Also in central and south America quartz has been found in ancient burial grounds, including a goblet made of clear quartz, found in a Mixtec grave.

Thanks everyone, I should get to work on ths today hopefully.
Venus, I didnt go into chakra layouts, cleansing etc as that probably deserves an entry all to itself Interesting stuff about the aborigines and north americans though ,mind if I work some of that in?

I note that no sceptics have criticised this entry yet (I haven't checked the former PR thread).
I appreciate the way you have been extremely careful to phrase the entry to avoid suggesting that there is any scientific evidence to justify this bizarre use of crystals (oops given away my position on crystal therapy )
While it might distract from the main thrust of your entry I think it would be worthwhile to say a little more about the beliefs underlying crystal therapy - the vibrational levels and energy fields. Personally I don't understand what is meant by this use of pseudo-scientific language.
For balance I would like to see at least a link to a sceptical discussion of crystal therapy. When I wrote an entry on food additives (A2867961) I linked to 'pro' and 'anti' additive sites to allow researchers to consider alternative points of view.
eg http://www.fortunecity.com/emachines/e11/86/trickers.html which is a copy of an essay Richard Dawkins wrote which was published in "A Devil's Chaplain" collection of essays under the title "Crystal Truth and Crystal Balls"
You could submit this entry as an update to A4816 on Cystals, and it may be useful to link to A861400 Chalcedony - an holistic view, which seems to cover much of the same ground as your own entry.
For those with the mindset to accept crystal therapy, why not provide links to
A893414 pendulum dowsing,
A827408 Spiritualism, and A724204 on Crop Circles
(I found these by doing a h2g2 search on "sceptic" )

Thanks for your suggestions
I'll have a look at and link to some of the entries you've suggested , but as the entry is on the uses of Quartz specifically, and intended as a brief overview at that, I'd rather leave more info on crystals themselves, belief and non belief in their associated therapeutic uses for a more indepth general entry.

As I said before, you have done a good job in not making any unsubstantiated claims for its efficacy (though I do baulk at the phrase "[Quartz is used for] aiding healing alongside prescribed medicine in most conditions", and would expect "allegedly" to make another appearance before 'aiding').
The real problem comes from the axioms you leave implicit in your description - what do the phrases "vibrational levels"
and "energy fields" mean when used in the context of a human body? I *really* want to know.
You have used 'believe' so much one starts asking :
Why do they believe this?
Is there any rational basis for accepting it as of any value?
What is the history of crystal therapy, as opposed to bizarre uses of quartz by historical tribes?
Is it based on purely personal observations or is there some reputable authority therapists agree to use?"
Without these kind of questions being at least attempted the entry is left describing a collection of beliefs without offering any understanding of why anyone would consider them sensible.
Incidentally there is also a typo in the bit about spreading quartz on fields: recieve > receive
Sorry I can't be more positive , but I am struggling not to use the word 'wacky'

Sorry Serephina Just read your Candle Magic EG entry A7951539 (having followed up the 'Front Page Author' nickname tag) . Strangely I don't have such a problem with that one.
I guess I'm irrational too , or maybe am just more willing to accept superstition, than something that seems to be making grander claims on credibility.
I don't think I'll be doing more than making a wish when blowing out the candles on a though
