"the public is wonderfully tolerant. it forgives everything except genius." - oscar wilde
sadly, those lacking in genius seem to be the ones making the money. bands (by which i mean in the old-stylee version of the word. not groups. not the spice girls. bands. with instruments.) struggle for creative freedom and recognition, and the moment they make it they are accused of selling out by the people who were supposed to be their fans from the beginning. now, i love guitar bands. and there's nothing i love more than feeling i've discovered a new band, going gigging, and yes, even moshing if moshing is required. while i am a firm believer in liking what YOU like, one thing about todays music industry is abundantly clear: the sheep factor. it's not even about the crappy 'pop' songs; it's about the millions of little kids who buy the records because they think they aught to like the 'band' and because all their friends have the album, and there's no originality or depth there. this is what is wrong with the industry, and unfortunately, it's a craze that doesn't seem to be going anywhere any time soon.

Let me politely state that you must please go and read what kind of entries is needed for the Edited Guide / Peer Review.
Your entry does express an opinion but seems to be a rant more than anything else.
The feeling is that you must discuss / post it in the alternative writing workshop until it becomes a balanced view of modern music.
