Haha, france lost! That should wake them up! After they lost to Belgium a friendly game and lost again to the japanese version of the red devils, they really needed this slap in the face (and let's not forget the humiliation) to get them to wake up.

Did you see the game? France really did look very tired and short of ideas. They've got Uruguay and Denmark to come, and I suspect that they'll just about stagger into the second round - but they're going to have to play a LOT better than that to have any chance at all of retaining their title.

They were a totally different side, and i just hope they start next same in similar fashion to way the ended this one. Fantastic...

Ireland were good, in the second half.
Saudi Arabia on the other hand are being walked all over at the moment. It's now just 3-0 to Germany.

Did you notice at 7-0 that Kahn got the ball in his area and just stood still for about 30 seconds and the Saudis just couldn't be arsed to tackle him?

So whats going on with these games huh?
Talk about a game of two halves, first ireland and now sweden completely turning the tables in the second half - its like getting two games of footie for the price of one.
Unless your a Saudi Arabia supporter I suppose.
