...And I'm looking forward to it so much! I may be heading into middle-age, but the World Cup brings out my inner big kid!
I've been writing loads of stuff about past World Cups for a h2g2 University project that should be available for viewing next week, and it reminded me that even bad World Cups tend to have some good moments. Italy 1990, for instance, had Roger Milla and Cameroon getting to the quarter-finals along with the Republic of Ireland. I want to see who'll be this year's giant-killers and what dramas and disasters will befall England this time! For the next month I'm going to eat , sleep
, and drink
, and I can hardly wait!

Being 20 years old, Italia 90 is the first world cup I can remember (that and Euro 88 with Ruud Gullit's goodamn hair) My main memories of Italia 90- Milla, Waddle and, for some reason, Toto Schillachi, remember him?

I certainly do!
And it's not surprising that you remember Toto from Italia '90, because he was the leading scorer in the tournament! I'm a mine of useless information like that now, because of working on the University Project!
