Yes that is a bit strange. Especially as that page is no where near the top of the list if you search h2g2 for "Chat Room" - http://www.bbc.co.uk/dna/h2g2/classic/Search?searchstring=chat+room&dosearch=Search&searchtype=goosearch
With the hysterical A94682 as the star out of that lot

A399594 is second on the list if you just search for 'chat'.

The entry echoes my limited chat room experience! Some people obviously really like the chat room vibe, which is great, but it's not for everyone. Vive la difference!
