I have the solution!!
Hugh Jass Started conversation Jun 3, 2002
The following programmes should pay a percentage of our licensing fees just to get aired:
Dad's Army
All new sitcoms
Gardening programmes
Cooking programmes (especially when presented by Ainsley, or Jamie)
Kilroy
Regional news programmes (Nick Owen for christ's sake)
Dramas about hair-dressing (?)
Anything with Pauline Quirke in it
The lottery (unless I've won of course!)
Any programme featuring a Pop Idol, S Club 7, S Club Pre-school, etc..
Soaps (unless someone is getting shot, or sent darn!!)
Darts
Snooker
Bowls
Curling (Arrrrggghhhh!!)
Newsnight
Jools Holland (Just the bands will do thanks)
(PLEASE FEEL FREE TO ADD TO THIS LIST!)
I think it's sad that the funniest programmes that the BBC can give me at the moment are:
The Black Adder re-runs
The Simpsons (but how often do you get to see an unrepeated episode ?)
Auf Wiedersen Pet (import from another channel)
Yes folks I have the solution!
Anyone sick of the Jubilee yet?
Key: Complain about this post
I have the solution!!
