Loving it!
Just loving the experience of being in the H2G2 community! My real name's Jim (Hugh Jass is my player name for Halflife and Delta Force). I live in Walsall and work in the print industry which is slowly chipping away my morale and sanity. I'd love my own business as a freelance proofreader and copy editor (it will happen I keep telling myself!?!).
I play bass in a couple of bands:
Blown (www.blownonline.co.uk) are an alt.rock group; drop in @ the Varsity, Wolverhampton on 28th June to get "blown" away!
Scaftag is a kinda power pop thing going on here. Not ready for gigging yet though an interesting version of Talking Heads - Once in a lifetime has been thrown around the rehearsal room.
I love reading. I've nearly finished De Quincey's "Confessions of an English Opium Eater". A bit hard going in places, but a rewarding read. I'm halfway through Philip.K.Dick's "Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep!". Absolutely brilliant and a relief that Ridley Scott didn't follow it page for page in Bladerunner.
As you can probably tell music is almost my first love. Fave bands include Chameleons, Cocteau Twins, My Vitriol, Cure (early stuff), Tool, Type O Negative, Queen Adreena, etc, etc...
Anyways, enough rambling from me now it's your turn, (please?)Latest Messages

"The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is a wholly remarkable book. It has been compiled and recompiled many times and under many different editorships. It contains contributions from countless numbers of travellers and researchers."
