Eh... could say I'm alright too.
Doing a book report on Wicked for a social psychology summer class.
The professor strikes me as kinda nutty and interesting like that.

Choices were either that or Palahniuk's Survivor.

Never heard of Survivor, heard of Wicked though, that's the wicked Witch of The West book, isn't it?

Yeah,
That's the one.
*nod*
Survivor struck me as a bit too grisly...
^^; just... a 'tad'.

It's by the guy who wrote fight club isn't it? I've never read, or seen, fight club, but I think it was Palahniuk that wrote it

Funny, that's how it struck me, too.
Part of why I changed my mind and decided to read Wicked, even though the other one is shorter.

My character's still an apprentice.
I had some neat ideas for a few new moves based off some of the old ones.
Ex: having the water-hatchet from before change into an ice-axe. Could have it break into shards before hitting something when thrown.

Tom Holt's always a good author to read, as is the fantabulous Mr Pratchett. Holt's fantasies borrow heavily from germanic tradition, either as the folkloric fairy tales or the old germanic myths/gods, i.e. Odin/Wotan, Loki et al. Snow White and the Seven Samurai being an example of the former and Going Dutch an example of the latter.

Drat... I was going to have that brother of his turn out to want to go with the "old habits" and be a baddie, when he does come around,- having a body again.
*shrug*
Well, I could make the mother evil...
would be a tad closer to RL as of late.
