Well the new series of Buffy started on Thurs...opinions?..Looked like it might be interesting to me.But as long as its better than last series I wont really be complaining!

Well, the new Buffy series is three weeks old now and I think we can safely say that it is an improvement over the last series.
Spike is in an interesting place (all mad and got a soul and that - and living in the High School basement).
Buffy has a future (with her new job and all) and it looks as if there could be a potential relationship with the Principal in the offing.
Willow will still be a witch - so that's good.
Dawn could be a mini-me slayer soon (despite being taller than Buffy!)
Zander and Anya though.....boring...

Don't forget the new series of Angel!!
Lots of potential story arcs there. Angel looking for the lovely Cordy. Connor "banished" ( not for long, I'll wager). All change at Wolfram and Hart - but Gun and Fred....boring....

Enough of this! Some of us have work to do!

Hello Yes it has been a little quiet around here lately! Am starting to suspect the regulrs were abducted by aliens or something during my extended abscence!..


Ive never really been a fan of Angel, and even less so last couple of series.Barely bother to watch it at all now.

Buffy on the other hand is loooking up...thank god its looking better tthan the last series! most of that was dire!...lol

It's an odd thing, but I felt exactly the same as you. The sixth series (the one on Beeb 2 at the moment) seemed interminably dreary when I watched it last time on Sky; Willow slowly losing it, Buffy trying to get a job and sort out her finances, Xander and Anya's (non-)wedding, Dawn's shop lifting, Buffy and Spike "getting it on"....but now I'm watching it again on BBC2 (snooker allowing, of course ) and I'm remembering all the good stuff. The troika had some classic lines (mostly about Star Wars), there was the Musical Show., we got rid of Tara and nobody's mother died.

Possibly the main problem was that the series seemed to drift a bit. Apart from the "tragic" ending, the troika storyline didn't seem to go anywhere and Xander, what was he thinking?

At least this series has started with a solid story arc with the bright new High School. Only time will tell....

Hmmm ive heard some rumours about certain charachters possibly e-appearing in the near future too..that would be good. We used to get regular spoilers from someone in the states in here.Hed go watch watch the episode ,then come back n tell us exactly what happened..which was good cos i hate surprises...but then id be disappointed that i already knew what was gonnahappen when we caught up!...lol

Peter, I really, really hated last season. I was starting to tjhink that Joss Whedon had lost all creative juice. The story is (for all you non-yanks) Here in the states, the series and Angel were begun on a network called the WB After Buffy saved the world by dying in place of DFawn, Whedon switched networks for more money. Now Angel is WB, but Buffy is UPN. This was also the begining of the the "nasty and brutish, Hobbesian season". I hated almost every episode, but I watched anyway. It was a masochist's dream show with all the dark storylines and angst. I have to say that this year's shows are not much lighter. Sarah M. Gellar is probably going to make this her last year and Whedon seems to be setting the stage for a spinoff to take over.

Ahh yes the wedding .i remember now..last time we spoke youd just got engaged ..THAT was a while ago...Glad to hear its all still on n stuff!..hard work though weddings arent they ,all that fuss n stress for one day,it worth it in the end i guess though!

So when is the big day again? Good luck for it. You probably won`t need it.
