h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

I've just moved from Warrington down to the lovely city of Bristol for Uni. So far I've found the Crown, which seems to be a lovely rock club for alternative folks. However, I would like to find a proper biker-friendly pub, as I'm longing somewhat for somewhere like Porters Ale house back home...

Anyone know anywhere?

not sure myself, have you check for local bike clubs to see where they meet? You don;t have to go to their meetings, but it's a fair bet any pub they meet in is a biker friendly one

Try Bob the Farmer - he knows that area fairly well. Was last heard of considering doing his Direct Access... I'll drop him a message, but he's an infrequent visitor these days.

I shall have to hunt down some local clubs then, methinks! And I have my fingers crossed that Bob the Farmer makes an appearance some time soon.

I found one! In my search for a bike club round here I stumbled across The Old Fox, a pub just 5 minutes away, but the opposite way from everywhere I've already explored.

It looks damn fun, and methinks I may visit it tomorrow, if not Saturday. If anyone else is interested - www.theoldfoxpub.co.uk

We could add reviews of pubs we like, or don't like, for others who may be in the area? And not just UK either.

That sounds like quite a plan, actually... When I've popped in I'll post a review, to let all ye lovely people know what it's like.

Because I could either go out and sit around all night complaining about not having the money to buy myself a pint (dirty student that i am ) or I could stay at home, sort out my CV to get a decent job and drink myself to sleep with JD...
