Ducati v. Japanese?
Outrider Posted Feb 19, 2004
A Guzzi was the first bike the better half could sit on post accident. She can't ride though!
Every bike has it's purpose. I've been lucky to find 3 that suited me at the precise moment I bought them.
I've always liked cruisers and customs but that's not how I ride all the time.
The viffa lets me cruise, tour, and zip. If I lose the urge to zip then either a Vmax or a V45 Magna could take care of the rest.

Ive just been looking at the cover shot of a Duke ST3 in UK magazine RiDE.
It looks very much like a VFR750FL from the early 90's. Duke copying big H, surely shome mishtake?

That's one of the reasons I chose the VFR ('02 model with Vtec) - couldn't decide between the ST2 and ST4 that Duc's offer so went with a Honda that has both 2 valves under 7,000rpm and 4 valves from 7,000-11,700rpm - and damn don't it sting when those extra two kick in YeeeeeHaaaaH.

I take it that's the chain driven cam? How is it behaving?

Now come on!!!!!!! A girl isn't supposed to remember "everything"!!
Although, I did help someone as to where the oil indicator was
That's 2 things I know about my bike now!!!

What is it about women?? They pretend they don't have a clue!!
I know better... : My daughters are great spannerpersons. Two restorations between them. They can read a manual and negotiate the male dominated supply chain with ease.
Don't let the female biker fool you!

A little knowledge can be dangerous VV!
Methinks you have chain driven camshaft.

IctoanAWEWawi Posted Feb 23, 2004
Actually, I should have thought of asking VV this before, is it true that Virago's use Autosol instead of oil?

You're mean Icky
Yeah I believe the cam's are chain driven with some kinda clutching mechanism on the second shaft.... Haven't really looked into the technical whizz-bangery of it, I just enjoy the rush of power as she surges past 7000rpm
If you'll pardon the parlance - A sudden Ball-Tearing, gut-wrenching, adrenalin filled rush of acceleration

not being well is no excuse for owning a Viagra
