I have been in contact with a young lady in Bundaburg and she put me onto your site, I toured Aussie in 1976 and again in 1982/3 on a Norton.
Look at my Tavels on http://www.jerrydoe.com
It would be good to hear from you.

Hi,
Great story about your trip to australia
The roads have got a lot better since your visits. I've ridden from Cairns to Brisbane and back a couple of times, much easier these days (but the highway still gets flooded in the wet season). And they've finished sealing the cooktown road now, I think.

Hi when I was out there in 1986 I lived in Bundaburg and the roads were getting really good.
I first went from Sydney to Melbourn and then up to Cairns with a friend in 1974 in a VW Microbus that we could sleep in.
The Queenslend roads were really bad lots of potholes infact I knocked the steering out at Inisfail and a torsion bar broke in Sydney when I got back.
They were great days.
I am in the UK now amd was born in England but I think of Aussie as my country and miss it very much.
Great to hear from you if you have any stories I would be interested to hear them.
Best Regards
Roy
