I`m a Virgo with Cancer ascending supposedly.
A programme I watched recently made me wonder however.
According to said programme, because of the delay in light reaching us from distant constellations, we are supposed to consider ourselves born under the sign PREVIOUS to the one we originally thought.
I`ve thought about this and I definitely donot think that I could consider myself a Leo.
Virgo with Cancer rising suits me rather better.
Having said that... in Chinese astrology... I`m a monkey/fire/summer and this I find far more `me`.
Has anyone studied Chinese astrology? If so, I would be interested to hear your views.
The only reason I ask is because I have a conflict of interests and would appreciate other opinions.

Reluctantly, I rely more on Chinese Astrology because I think Western Astrology is too... vague!!
In Chinese Astology, you are a goat and the Virgo male you were enquiring about is a snake.
On the whole, this looks like a good relationship. The only problem I see is that you both find `romance` ... how can I say.... `fatiguing!
I really cannot profess to be an expert on this... I really can`t. I can only say that Eastern astrology for ME has prooved more accurate.
As for you and the snake, I will give you some more details and it will be up to you to decide how accurate it is...
The snake male is reflective, organised, alert and wise but does not appear to listen to a word you say!.
Loves Greek and Latin.... hates to be set up as `an example`!
It could easily work so don`t give up! Only problem as regards Chinese Astrology that I can see is that neither of you are exceptionally organised! One relies on the other and vice versa!
As I said, I really am no expert, but it appears to me that SOMEONE has to take charge! SOMEONE has to take the inititive!
Its wonderful to meet someone who matches us so closely but when that happens, who ignites the spark to move us on?!
I suppose thats where the old saying of `opposites attract` comes into play.
I don`t know! Like I say... I`m fumbling in the dark! If you have any answers.. I would really appreciate you sharing them with me!
(As a little query... does he like to keep changing things? This could be things like decorating, re-arranging furniture etc? I`m asking simply because I`m curious.)
I could go on but I won`t. All I shall say for now is that I truly hope your new relationship works out. It SHOULD!

I've known him for years - he's just got divorced from a friend of mine, and up to now, we are still "just friends".
But we are getting closer.
He's not re-arranging my furniture yet.
I had a quick flick through his record collection {vinyl} yesterday and we have exactly the same taste in music.
