That's nuts

That's nuts.

And I don't see what Druids would be wanting with a giant ball of cheese, unless they were mice, which contradicts all I believe in. Unless you think of that mice are the most intelligent animals in the world (according to our Lord and Saviour, D.A.,) Therefore the Druids were more intelligent than any other people. That is good logic. I retreat my former argument.

I am not even sure myself what the druids had to do with it.
Feel free to research more and find the origins...
Maybe some druids were carting up some cheese, which broke free and rolled down the hill, so the first druid to catch it got extra cheese for supper...

Protection of cheese

Hear ye, all Druids!

Our beloved and most sacredicious holy CHEESE has gone missing from our ritualic dairy on the top of the highest hill. It has, indeed rolled out of the door.

If it reaches the bottom, it will become no more than beloved and most sacredicious holy CHEESE pancake, and thus our souls will be in the hands of the torturous demons of ANTI-CHEESE RITES!

Thusfor, whoso catcheth this CHEESE before it reaches the highest hill's lowest point shall have rescued our souls, and may he be rained with many lovely gifts and tasty cookies.

Go forth, and protect thy beloved and most sacredicious holy CHEESE!
