OK thanks Alex, I've gone with that.
Come on Mr D. Do you seriously think I can write a whole guide entry on the contents of Broadmoor without mentioning the L word?

"Broadmoor Hospital was the country’s first purpose-built lunatic asylum"
This is not strictly true - Bedlam was purpose built three times (A2554157) as a lunatic asylum, and there were other asylums appearing around the same time too. It was the first purpose built for the criminally insane though.
Talking of Bedlam, the link isn't showing in the side bar as there's an extra space between the entry number and the " - it should be Bedlam
Footnotes hould be proper sentences, and I'd lose the brackets:
The others being Ashworth in Merseyside, Rampton in Nottinghamshire and Carstairs in Lanarkshire.
Here's a link for Richard Dadd http://www.bbc.co.uk/arts/ripper/killer_art.shtml
I put it in as I had no idea who he was, and didn't think anyone else would either. He seems to have got about a bit!
We don't do BBC related links in the entry anymore, so if you really want that search link you need to put it between REFERENCES tags. Ideally you could find some specific links though.
Great entry! There used to be a iren sounding in Brentwood when I wqas growing up, and with the cruelty of children used to say it was the lunatics escaping. I'n no idea now whether it was the local hopsital, or actually the Thermos factory calling the workers back in!

Many thanks Mina
Agree with all that, and changed now, except for:
1) Your Richard Dadd link appears to be broken - has the BBC moved it?
2) I'll have a think about references and update later this week(the BBC search will go)

It appears to be broken. I should have checked it before I posted it. I'll have to get it removed from my entry.

Your Guide Entry has just been picked from Peer Review by one of our Scouts, and is now heading off into the Editorial Process, which ends with publication in the Edited Guide. We've therefore moved this Review Conversation out of Peer Review and to the entry itself.
If you'd like to know what happens now, check out the page on 'What Happens after your Entry has been Recommended?' at EditedGuide-Process. We hope this explains everything.
Thanks for contributing to the Edited Guide!

Thanks Guys - your support was much appreciated
Beginner's luck, I'm sure.
That was fairly painless. I guess that's not always the case, right?

The entry was well written and didn't lack much to start with, so that's probably why. Then a catching title - I mean, I can't imagine I'm the only one who thought of Homer, was I ? - so that's maybe what attracted people and made things easy

There is only one thing worse than being Gosho, and that is not being Gosho Posted Nov 30, 2005
Well done
B'Elana's right. When you have a good entry to begin with, when you understand that the purpose of PR is to critique and point out flaws in an entry in order to make it as good as it can be, and having understood that, you don't start throwing tantrums when a reviewer, er... reviews, there's no reason why PR should be anything but a breeze. The only people who have a problem with PR are those who let their ego get the better of them.

Hi Schreck,
It all looks fine to me. In fact I can hardly spot anything you might have changed - the mark of a good sub-editor, no doubt.
Publish and be damned!
