Hey it won the ZZ9 contest. I think it's worthy.

Well... This entry touches a somewhat holy-subject. Please take into account that I am probably alone with my opinion, and you can perfectly tell me to go peel a banana. Don't let me spoil your fun and don't get demotivated, BUT....
You're new here, right? I thought so. Check out the 'writing guidelines for the edited guide'. Here, one special excerpt:
"5. Don't Try too Hard to be Funny [...]
Entries were packed with side-splitting jokes, little realising that 90% of people who think they're funny simply aren't, and just end up sounding like a surrealist on tranquilisers. There's nothing worse than a joke falling flat, so please don't try to write like Douglas Adams... "
As far as humour is concerned I am probably worse than catatonic. Sorry.
On the other hand, remember that this is just me.

I don't think that this has a place in the edited guide. It's not fact based, y'see, which is what the editors are looking for.

hmm, that's easier to do from your end: go to <./>RF1</.>, locate this thread and find a 'remove' link next to it.
Oh, and there *are* places for fiction and fun stuff on h2g2! 'So long, and thanks for laughing' for example: A227440
Or, check out the 'Alternative' section at Writing-Alternative
Or, see the AGG/GAG people who are more than eager to welcome any new contributions: <./>AGGGAG</.>

Dang straight!
Like I said elsewhere - how are we in AggGag meant to find cool alternative entries if they're all hiding out here in Peer Review. I ask you - is that fair play?

true, true! As things are, there's the 3 month silence rule before we can move it. But... yepp, apart from pointing at AggGag, us Scouts should give you a pointer too!

uh - I was aware of the three months rule for the flea market - but surely entries that are off-topic can be moved sooner than that?

Lucinda, yes of course they can. But, to be honest, I was keeping myself from doing that in order to give the Workshop an opportunity to fulfill its original purpose rather than serving as a storage place.
Perhaps not the right thing to do either.
No Shazz, you can't have it. Not yet. Not before the details for the next Dutch meet have been published

Well, I'd hope you'd move this to the AWW, rather than the WW.
The way I'm figuring, one review forum at a time. I'm concentrating on the AWW at the moment, and after that I'll try for the CWW. But even you can't solve all the problems at once...
