You have me thinking now(never a good thing) is he indeed the longest serving Communist leader left in da world. Answer I'm almost sure is...yes. Isn't it in the Guiness Book ofR?
Hmmmm, Listen Pommy friends, Is Blair going to 'pull the pin'(quit) and do the bolt? And is Premier League like First Grade and then there is another league under that that is Second Grade and then onto Third Grade and through some odd crative accounting, a team from 3rd grade can play a team from1st grade in the FA Cup?
I've got this wrong haven't I and your sheilding my feelings? (Aussie Twit or somesuch)

Well that makes three of us uninterested in football. I'm a mad keen fisherman though. Do the Dutch fish?(as a pastime) And does Edam cheese taste better in Holland? <<<<<<Thats an Edam Cheescake

I dislike fishing, because I saw people eat fish at around 10 am in the morning. the smell gives me imagnairy fobia.
for Edammer cheese in Holland I can not remember when I last eat it in Holland, because I do not live in one of the Holland provinces. I live one of the 10 other provinces.
btw you have the wrong

Also Dutch and also with a dislike of football. Do we have enough critical mass for a H2G2 non-football society? (To survive the worldcup, Europa cup or whatever it is they are playing soon?)
"Edam cheesecake"? What an idea!

I love your idea Suitsat. Will we start one up? A club for non-football fans?

Yes, why not! Though we should give some thought to how we name it and what our goals are. An open attack on the WC and/or football in general would only provoke flame wars or worse.
Oh, and it would have to have a good name of course. Like Queasily United Against Cup Kermis (Q.U.A.C.K.). And for the Dutch among us: "Kermis" is according to my Concise Oxford Dictionary and English word!

yeah, we'd def. have to be specific. But whatever it ends up as, if it's anti-football, count me in.

I'd be able to contribute little in the way of witty repartee or make play on players names/clubs etc, cause I know nowt about soccer apart from the fact that people who like football, don't like it being called soccer. It would be hard not to start a war though I reckon. It's pretty much a religion up your way isn't it?
