Howdy, folks. This is an article that I found floating around in the Guide - by this guy named Tsarion, who hasn't been around for a while. I grabbed the text, did some updates and some date/data checking, then posted it in here. I haven't gotten around to formatting it in Guide ML, but I thought I'd get it out here so you RATM fans could poke at it some and find some holes.

Hi, Lentilla!
I dont have much to say about this - I decided a while ago that I just wouldn't review entries about bands.
Which brings me to my one little point - I think it would be a good idea to retitle this as Rage Against the Machine - The Band. I was actually expecting a rather high-flown analysis of the 19th century Luddites.

You're quite right, band entries are titled that way to avoid confusion. I'll change the entry title, but I won't worry about the PR thread.
I'd like to see an entry on Luddites - they always struck me as turn of the century hippies with pitchforks.

Well, I guess there aren't any RATM fans. Who woulda thunk it?

Not so, Lentilla! This is a fine Entry, and well done for finding it.
I think it needs more updating, though. It now says at the beginning that Zack de la Rocha *is* the singer, then goes on to explain how he's left. The first reference to Mumia abu-Jamal gets his name wrong, but you've corrected it later. And one other happy update - Mumia is no longer under sentence of death.

Ah... good to know. The article was originally written when de la Rocha was in the band... When I grabbed it, I had to update it from the RATM website and various fan sites. The happy update will make a nice conclusion!

Here's the story of Mumia's reprieve, as reported on CNN: http://www.cnn.com/2001/LAW/12/18/jamal.death.penalty/index.html

Thanks!... removed a couple of inconsistencies, made sure that abu-Jamal's name was spelled right, and gave the conclusion more of a conclusive feeling. Is there any new news about the rest of Rage? I understand de la Rocha's working on the usual solo album...

Just doing the cheesy thing and kicking this back to the top of the list. I'd love some more feedback if anybody's interested...

if you still need feedback, how about this for feedback....
It's been recommended and is on its way to a sub-editor as we speak.
Congratulations
