A bit of sweet Pennsylvania Dutch cooking for your reading enjoyment!
Funnel cakes are slowly entering the American diet. I saw one on the television the other night on some show my wife was watching.

Mmmmmmmmm funnel cakes. Mmmmmmm....
Foods that are intertwinably mixed in my mind:
funnel cakes
elephant ears
cheese fries
corn on the cob still in the whatchmacallit
All good fair food. Now you have me all hungry, Jimi!
good entry, BTW...

Hi, Jimi X!
This sounds great! The only real quibble I would have is that the first mention of frying rather than baking is nearly at the end of the entry. This is a bit disconcerting to anyone who assumes that a cake has been baked. Maybe if you added the word 'fried' into the sentence in the first part 'But that's just how delicious this sweet cake can be'?
They sound a bit like what I know as drop scones, though richer and lighter. (The only drop scone recipe I can find has 3 1/2 cups flour, 1 tablespoon sugar, 1 1/2 cups milk, 2 teaspoons each baking powder and cream of tartar but then only 1 egg).
There are a few typos:
whipped creme/cream
cinamon/cinnamon
powered/powdered
recipie/recipe
And the sentence 'And eating one out-of-doors with the sights, sounds and smells of a carnival no doubt enhance the experience.' looks like one of those specially designed to catch the unwary - what is the *real* subject of the sentence?
Anyway, great entry, and I'd definitely like to sample a funnel cake at some stage!

Another fried confectionary, rather similar to funnel cakes in taste. Also staple fair food.
Recipe is at:

Actually, given how similar they are, it might be worth combining them into one entry -- you think?

Typos fixed!
And Mikey - go find your own entry!
Seriously, I'm not too much in favor of combining elephant ears and funnel cakes because I'm trying to stick with a Pennsylvania Dutch theme here. I don't know where those elephant ears come from.
Honestly, I'm amazed funnel cakes have gone that far west.

All fixed? Not quite!
There was a second 'powered' and a 'recipies' that you missed.
And since you're a five-badge sub-Editor, I think you should reconsider that sentence I mentioned:
'And eating one out-of-doors with the sights, sounds and smells of a carnival no doubt enhance the experience.'
If the subject is 'eating' then the verb should be 'enhances'.
If the subject is 'sights, sounds and smells' then 'enhance' is correct but your 'eating out-of-doors' is a bit astray. 'The sights, sounds and smells of a carnival no doubt enhance the experience of eating one out-of-doors' would be correct, I think.

OK, *now* they're all fixed.
The subject of that sentence is the gerund 'eating' so yes, the correct verb tense should be 'enhances'.
As for recipes - that's on my list of top 10 words I can never remember how to spell properly.

Sorry, Jimi!
The made me do it!
I think the entry is now in a very suitable state for picking, with days still to go. I do hope you have some more Pennsylvanian Dutch recipes ready to roll....

I hate dredging them up from the depths so when an entry of mine gets ignored like that for a couple of weeks, that's where you'll find it - at the bottom of the heap.
