Um, confused. Why can't you Recommend it? I've lost the plot a bit, I think.

Ormy had to wait for the week to tick over - the new automated system prevents anything being recommended until 7 days have passed on the Peer Review thread. It's been recommended for inclusion now, although not officially passed.

I believe there's a limit on the number of entries a scout is allowed to recommend in a week, so presumably Whoami? has filled his/hers.

But I hadn't filled my quota.

It's all so confusing

Bagpuss - the way scouting works is that everyone has 3 picks every four weeks, to be chosen in the week before they are due on the calendar. Mine are always with Bossel's on a Monday, with the next being due on 25th March. Hope that helps!

Whoami- remember: cake is a made-up drug.

It was a Brass Eye spoof about a new "drug" called Cake. Very, very funny - Chris Morris at his best.

Whoami, I remember reading that in the post, but I couldn't remember the numbers. I nearly said "three picks a week", but then decided that was clearly wrong.

On the subject of cake (well almost), there's a lovely verse from the sone 'Away with rum' (the Song of the Salvation Army) that goes;

We never eat biscuits, 'cost biscuits have yeast,
And too many biscuits turns a man into a beast.
Can you imagine the utter disgrace
Of a man lying in the gutter with crumbs in his face!
