When people say the acting of liam and ewin was bad, they KNOW NOTHING of the ways of the jedi. It is completely and utterly the point that they not show emotion nor exuberance.
I truly wish people could just get into the epic quality of the film rather than bringing all their hollywood fantasies to the mike. The only character that I thought was lame as plastic utinsils was that slinky legged guy with a speech impediment. He could have been left out entirely.

When I first heard the title, I thought it was complete rubbish, but now I think it's cool, and in keeping with Lucas' homage to the old Flash Gordon serials. Let's face it, the name Skywalker isn't exactly Chekov, is it? Embrace "The Phantom Menace"; episode II may have a worse title.

What do you think episode two will be called? "Darth Maul Gets Stitches" maybe? smiley - bigeyes

Maybe "Fall of the Jedi" or will that be episode three?

Mmm...the title. I'm sorry, but "The Phantom Menace" just sounds a bit like an episode of Scooby Doo to me. But yes, it did fit the movie. I suppose it's a bit like the way you'd never thinkt Superman was silly, even though he *is* wearing those goofy tights.

Oh, yeah, forgot something. "A New Hope" also seems kind of a silly title to me. I think that, more so than the fact that it was the first movie, is why just about everyone I know refers to "Star Wars, The Empire Strikes Back, and Return of the Jedi" rather than "A New Hope, The Empire Strikes Back, and Return of the Jedi." BUT no matter how silly the titles may get, I know the movies will be worth it.

Well, for those of you who haven't seen it yet, the title does sound stupid, yes, but after ou see it, you should understand why it is that they call it that. I mean, I could tell you, but some people may want to figure it out for themselves. It's not anything big that spoils the movie or anything, but some of you may not want to know so I won't say. Ask me though, if you do want me to tell you.

The title of the movies isn't as bad as the original title of the overall story. Lucas wanted to call the whole kit and kaboodle "Journal of the Whills" but STAR WARS is just a more commercially lucrative title.

What he names the separate episodes is irrelevant. STAR WARS may very well be the hoopiest title yet for anything.

...well alright. It's just the SECOND hoopiest title for an expanded trilogy. Douglas Adams might be listening...

Why doesn't everyone stop analysing it, just trust in the genius of George Lucas and realise that he can't do it wrong because it's his vision and we are merely onlookers. He is Star Wars' biggest fan and its biggest critic if something's not right. He has a large, full-time team who get paid to see that everything fits so it all will, there's no question of that. Just enjoy...
