She Who Has Many Names
This used to be called "She Who Has Too Many Names," but after a response I received from John the Gardener, I decided to change it. I agree with him: You can never have too many names. I have several because there are many different aspects of me. My main Internet nick is Lorekeeper, because I am a fantasy fiction writer, a folklorist and a poet. When I'm a tough, gritty, award-winning college jounalist, I'm called Ferg. (There are people I work with who do not know any name for me other than Ferg, and those who do know the name my parents gave me tend to forget.) I'm an animal lover--my Mom calls me the Queen of Dogs, because I have yet to meet a canine I can't make friends with. Would sticking to my given name limit who I am? Probably not. But it would make my life less colorful...Latest Messages
