I can't work out how to do it in Opera! It's the dragging from the address bar bit I've never worked out.
I've done it in IE, but obviously if I use it then, it opens an IE window.
Cool!

The dragging bit didn't work for me either (Mozilla on a Mac), so I just dragged in a link to anywhere, then edited the properties for the button, where I replaced the existing link with Jim's code. It really doesn't matter how you create the button, as long as you can change it later.
Cool!

OK, just downloaded Opera 6.0. Here's what you do:
* Bookmarks/Manage Bookmarks
* Open the Personal Bar folder
* Right-click and choose Add Page...
* Set the name to 'Make It Goo'
* Copy the javascript from the page into the address field
This worked fine for me.
My problem with Opera is the gap between the top half of the Goo and the slab with buttons. Has that *always* been there?

I don't know about Opera, but that has always been there with Omniweb ( http://www.omnigroup.com/ ). Vegiman is touting it as the "secret line hidden on this page", because you can grab the frame edge and move it.
I never complained because Omniweb doesn't reload pages correctly, so you get cached conversations. And so I don't use Omniweb.

Aha, it worked that time. It must have been because I copied it from the IE button I made.
Yep, the gap has always been there Jim.
I've tried to find a conversation where it was reported, but typically I can't find one atm.
btw, thanks for downloading it, just to check for me.
Cool!

What a great little trick
But why won't it work on other websites, I want to turn the whole of the WWW into a Goo colour

I'd suggest awarding you a medal for this one - but you've probably got so many now that it would just weigh you down
