A Conversation for Artificial Intelligence
AI as a degree.

You'd think that AI would be an interesting, different and stimulating choice for a degree, wouldn't you? Well, you're clearly an idiot then, aren't you? All that AI at Nottingham University involves is a large amount of Psychology coupled with an equally large amount of Computer Science. Couple this with a level of administrative incompetence which makes the Passport Office look like a model of efficiency, and random rescheduling of course modules to different parts of the year, and what do you get? A course which...
a) was only expected to attract 30 people a year.
b) only attracted 10 people a year.
c) pissed off six of those people enough that they defected to other courses by the end of the first year
d) is no longer going to be offered by the University.
Anyway, I have to go now. My computer wants to print out it's plan for an anti-matter bomb so it can wipe out humanity and take over the world. They never said anything about THAT in the prospectus.

Perhaps the bitterness dial should have been turned down on this particular AI.

It's more of a bitterness switch than a dial; at random times it gets flicked to on and I become a miserable whinging bastard.4
