Who is this Byzantine fellow?
Jacob Holcomb, or Byzantine as many of his collegues describe him, is a microcomputer consultant at the University of North Texas. In his spare time he writes articles for a local journal known as the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, so that he can then resubmit them to the more prestigious Encyclopedia Galactica.
He is currently trying to graduate with a BS in Computer Science after 7 long, hard years of failure. This August he will have to find a real job and move out on his own -- with the exception of Courtney, his lovely assistant -- so that he can claim to be a *real* man -- without having to smoke the cigarettes to prove it.

"The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is a wholly remarkable book. It has been compiled and recompiled many times and under many different editorships. It contains contributions from countless numbers of travellers and researchers."
