That sounds a lovley trip. Thanks for sharing. The description of "going home", cresting the hill, and breathing the sea air conjures up a wonderful image.
Your parents sound like mine - parts replaced that can be, others showing signs of age ! You do right to enjoy them, and appreciate them! Be grateful that your mother can text, though - I have to spend ages decoding the ones my mum tries to send!
Sounds like fun!

Yes, it's nice to get back among the family for a little while. Sounds like you enjoyed it. (How about a broadband dongle for Ma's next birthday? )
On the dancing theme, just noticed that "An Jig Gig" are doing auditions for this year - Irish dance meets the X-Factor. Too traditional for thon youngster of yours, I suspect! http://www.tg4.ie/bearla/stud/jig/index.asp

Actually....she did do quite a bit of Irish dancing! Specially when we were abroad - the Irish ex-pat community did a lot of parties, ceilis, dancing demos etc. But it probably wouldn't be strong enough to shine in that arena.
I'm looking forward to taking my dongle up to my parents next time I visit . They were most impressed with my iPhone, the peals of laughter from my Mum playing with Talking Carl are still ringing in my head.
