Bassman - Funny how people never ceases to amaze me!

Woof Woof - Pedigree - Pedigree Chump!!

I don't think it's that impressive, although I'll say I have played an audience of 14 000 on one occasion, another I played just 4 - there were more of us on stage than in the audience!!

Did you try the link to the Strangers Web Site?

She has gone back to London so I could not share your reply with her. Simulator? Isn't that what they put pilots into to practice flying blind? Good night AR1 smiley - schooloffish

Yes top marks. They also practise emergency procedures, carry out initial interviews for new recruits and a host of other stuff. I'm a Flight Simulator Maintenance Engineer by trade and have been since June 1980, when I joined the Royal Air Force. I served 16 1/2 years and got made redundant in 1997.

Dear Bassman,
Sorry I missed your answer. Guessed what? that you were in the RAF? I think I might have thought of that (totally untrue!!) One of my spouses was a pilot that is why I know about simulators. They have to practise their night flying etc. etc. on them I think. I have a daughter in Johannesburg who has an aircraft with her husband. They both fly and they have taken me up to their game ranch in Botswana when I was visiting. I feel very odd being piloted by my daughter!. But I was more scared of the elephants on the ground. Fortunately the "cats" came out at night and we only found their tracks around the camp the next morning. I am very tired so must go to bed. See you soon. Sincerely AR1 smiley - schooloffish

Why is getting piloted any different from being driven in a car by your daughter?

Because I cannot get out of an aircraft in the air dear Bassman! But then that is a stupid answer because neither can I step out of a car when it is travelling along the highway. Anyway, I think that it is quite difficult to be a pilot (isn't it) and I suppose that I was a bit overawed by it all.
I could also see the grass on the runway between the door and the fuselage from my seat and I did not like that.
Good night. smiley - hug AR1 smiley - schooloffish
