Having now read the whole list, the following stand out:
V & A (Have never been there. I might be alone in that, though)
Especially the special exhibitions mentioned of children's book illustrations.
The British Museum - the York exhibition looks interesting. However, as we are guests in London, maybe the History of London Museum would also be a good place to start.
Other single exhibitions I would pick out:
National Gallery: The Delaroche exhibition I've heard about. Some of the pictures are supposed to be quite stunning.
National Portrait Gallery: The Elizabeth exhibition sounds interesting.
The Science Museum (never been there either) has a whole bunch of fascinating subjects: The one on plastics and the 1000 muslim inventions would be my choices.
My shortest short list would be the Victoria and Albert. But if it's good weather, Kew Gardens is fine by me - except that it is expensive.
