Well folks, good news . . . my units have given me permission providing that George's parents will be there. As in there, not just dropping up off there. I don't understand . . . they let me run around with just my cousin and my brother all over Manhattan last summer . . .
But hey, constant parental supervision is better than not going. So how 'bout it George . . . are your parents coming or just dropping us off? Remember, my attendance is on the line here.
"11am, Met, Staircase" . . . *Id takes notes*

Yes, I'll be there wearing a "Don't Panic" badge and the beginigs of a goatee.

I've got my Don't Panic badge, too . . . but, alas, no goatee. But I won't even *be* there unless my parents are satisfied . . . your parents must be staying with us. They can't just be dropping us off and letting us wander aimlessly on our own.

If you tell them that TJ and I are old enough to be your parents, will they agree? Because, sadly, we are!
And the staircase isn't *immediately* inside the entrance. It's just to the other side of the lobby. It's a large, marble staircase. There just might be ropes and a guard preventing you from standing right next to the stairs until you've gotten your admission, but there's a lovely blank wall right next to the velvet rope (on the left as you face the stairs) that gives you a great view of the entrance doors, and keeps you out of the way of marauding museum goers.
We're getting into Penn Station on the 10:37am train. We're going to catch a subway uptown, then have to walk a few blocks to the Met. Providing the subway is nice enough to show up at Penn right after we get there , we should be getting there around 11am. If we're running a little late, feel free to head for the cafeteria without us. I know the Met well, and know Batty and Tacsatduck, so we can find you easily enough in the cafeteria. S'okay?

Besides, you and I are close in age remember?
I'll probably be skating in just at around 11 as well. Shea, will you have a cell phone on you? If so can you email me the number (I forgot your number)? I'll email you mine as well.

Glad to hear it.
Well, I'm comming.
I will be the teenager (accompanied by two fellow teenagers) who is wearing a pink and white striped towel cape that says "Everyone's Favorite Id" on the back as well as an American Flag bandana and a nice, cheerful "Don't Panic" pin that I shall filch off my mum, who got it from the Hitchhikker's Guide compy game a few years ago.
Ahem.
Wonk.

In fact, I just made my towel. It's amazing. I had no idea that towels made such good capes. Well, I should have known.
What time am I expecting you tomorrow, Georege?

P.S. Ever since I got home I've been telling my friends that, "I ran around the Met wearing a towel all day with a bunch of loons." Strangely enough, here are the various reactions:
"Cool!"
"Only a towel?"
"How come I never thought of that?"
"Can I come next time you do it?"
"Loons wearing towels? Indeed . . ."
"That's wonderful, next time let's do the Louvre!"
And so forth. Hmmmmm . . . *contemplates what these findings say about Id's friends*

Hello all! Glad you had a great time... did you get to Gray's Papaya for dogs? It's kind of a West Side landmark and has been in several movies...
