I just thought I'd remind everyone that this thread is still here and that there is still a need for it.

kit-kats are a hershey-reese's product, not a no-name boycott this company forever product. it's safe to talk about them. really.

On the contrary, if you go to the Kit Kat website, then you'll find a rather large Nxxxxe logo.

Barton Posted Jan 17, 2002
I can't find a Kit Kat website.
But, the Hersheys website clearly shows the Kit Kat bar as their product. Perhaps there is a different British Kit Kat product.

Hersheys are licenced by 'Nxxxxxx' to make and sell K K 's. In the US anyway.
Lucinda, re post 1537 - 'impressionable kids', well exactly. And not just kids, its taken me 4 weeks to get over the shock and post here again. BTW I read the first version of that entry, I didn't think it said anything unsupported by various official rulings/descisions etc. But what do I know?

Yet another reason to legalize dope...

Blues Shark - For people who like this sort of thing, then this is just the sort of thing they'll like Posted Jan 18, 2002
Interesting but little known fact:
One of the giant American tobacco firms already has a trade mark on the name 'Acapulco Gold', and has done since the early seventies.
So legalizing dope may *not* be the answer.

rj reynolds or maybe philip morris is lekz? how'd you find that out? i thought it was a secret. so's n****e, of course. and general motors. and kraft foods which is owned by rj reynolds or philip morris, i forget, and... the national rifle association. no... i'm confusing her with al-quaeda, again. darn. i can't tell these major international conspiracies apart, any more, since they're all secrety and stuff . i better go back to playing with smileys. i do that pretty good. besides, i'm scared of the .

Actually, I was merely replying to the idea thar legalising pot might not be an answer to anything. It was an attempt to make people laugh. Humour defuses tense situations.
I'm about as scary as ,sheep> because the is only an affectatious use of a smiley, a bit like not using capitals is an affectatious way of using the keyboard.
Or who knows, maybe I'm somebody else as well? Are you suggesting my sole post in the last six or seven weeks in this thread, (which I'm not normally even subscribed to) is somehow part of this conspiracy/witch-hunt/Operation Infinite Justice or whatever else you want to call it?
That's the trouble with this sort of nonsense, it just breeds conspiracy theories, and before you know, Lekz is the gunman on the grassy knoll.

They weren't? I think they'd better provide proof that they weren't before we decide. Are there any anonymous witnesses?
(That, too, was supposed to be humor...)
Actually, BS - hmmm: maybe I'd better use your full name - Actually, Blues Shark, I thought wfg's use of hyperbole was also intended to be humorous. It is not above speculation that, being the world-wide conspiracy (aka 'Operation Infinite Justice' ) that LeKZ obviously are, it is only a matter of time before we realize that they are soon to be revealed as the Borg. (BoRG?) But by then it will be too late. 'Resistance (to LeKZ) is futile!'
[Any idea if the trademark for 'Panama Red' is still up for grabs?]

The info about 'Acapulco Gold' came from one of Harlan Ellison's 'Glass Teat' books, and he was quoting from '60 Minutes' or some such, so you'd need to check that one with the tobacco firms themselves.
Though I *doubt* they'd give you an honest answer...
And if wfg was being humourous, then I apologize. Unreservedly.
I think you'll find that the independant witnesses to the grassy knoll business are all at Camp X-Ray. Or is that a different conspiracy?
