Maybe the "Crouching like a gargoyle on the corner of a high building." pose? With cape/cloak fluttering and eye's a-glowing?

A variation of the Gargoyle, for the less broody / shadowy heroes is the Spirit of Ecstacy, in the manner of the Rolls Royce mascot, and adopted by colourful heroes, who like to monitor their patch from skyscapers, without the Batdevil / Dareman like skulking. A certain arachnid based hero, and uptight Kryptonians.
