I put this into Peer Review when I first wrote it, and it was received horribly. However, after reading the Writing Guidelines over again today, I decided that this really ought to be Edited. I mean, really, it says everything that needs be said about the phenomenon.

There is only one thing worse than being Gosho, and that is not being Gosho

I don't believe I saw this when it was first in Peer Review so I have no idea what was said then.

You infer that this doesn't break any of the writing guidelines, but I have to disagree with you there:

-----------

5. Don't Try too Hard to be Funny

Especially if your entries comprise one-line jokes. We've heard them all before, and until we set up a humour section, we won't use any one-line jokes in the Edited Guide.

-----------

Even if one ignores that and accepts that this entry doesn't break any guidelines, it doesn't exactly fulfil any of them either. The Edited Guide is meant to be an encyclopaedia of sorts, but this entry reads more like a dictionary definition.

It's really not going to be recommended, and therefore should be taken out of PR. Sorry mate, but that's the long and the short of it smiley - sadface
