Davros was a good 'mouthpiece' for the Daleks, but in being their spokesman he reduced the daleks from faceless, powerfull all conquering stuff-of-nightmares to being nothing more than foot soliders.

Blues Shark - For people who like this sort of thing, then this is just the sort of thing they'll like Posted Jun 1, 2005
Exactly. He worked well in one storyline, but repeated use of him has actually made the Daleks less scary and less effective as 'monsters' than the Cybermen.

Mr. Dreadful - But really I'm not actually your friend, but I am... Posted Jun 1, 2005
If they make Davros more like he was in Genesis it might work. I always disliked Terry Molloy's burbling patheticness.

He's also almost a Master type character- if he's such an evil genius, how come every time he tries something new it takes Our Hero 4 episodes to wind it up?
At least with the daleks being a large faceless group you could suppose that they're fighting on lots of fronts at any given time, and whenever the Doctor is defeating them on one planet they're busy conquering another dozen.

pffffft Posted Jun 3, 2005
The Anne Robinson robot doesnt die, unfortunaely, just in this version of 'The weakest Link' that Rose is made to play, after each round the person voted 'The weakest link' is vaporised, killed, snubbed out, likewise with the Doctor's Big Bro - whoever gets voted out gets snuffed (an idea that the real big bro should adopt). Thats where the loads of death comes from, I betcha.

Keseral - lost... Posted Jun 3, 2005
from the badwolf.org.uk site:
"If you're concerned by the thought that the universe has been irrevocably altered by an enormous experiment in neuro-linguistic programming, then just tell yourself "The Bad Wolf is not real. The Bad Wolf is not real. The Bad Wolf is not real.""
neuro-linguistic programming? umm... Is that what the TARDIS does?

(now I'm scared... my mum does that.... as a job... she really does.... )

Apart from killing in reality TV being the first ever plot in the first ever (as far as I know) book to use the reality TV plot (from the '40s I think) isn't the above very similar to a Judge Dread sub plot?

Aye, but when you use it the login still say s'' in it - someone hasn't got any quality control on their website code have they?
I see on another site reference to DWM confirming Cybermen in Series 2.
Woo! I always preferred them to daleks anyway.
Oh, wait a minute, favourite Who monster is nearly as good a way to start a flame war as favourite Doctor. Oh well. Suffice it to say *I* am pleased if this is true!

Today I find out they are true - eek.

When Anne Robinson was on Room 101, she confined the whole of Wales to the bin. It's nice to think that BBC Wales get their own back.
Killing off the unsuccessful contestants has been done in "Sliders" as well.
Loved the trailer for next week, "W-e h-a-v-e b-e-e-n d-i-s-c-o-v-e-r-e-d" even my son jumped when he saw all the Daleks.

Is there a seperate thread for Bad Wolf guesses?
I would go for Anne Robinson, but for the fact that Rose has "already met" the bad wolf.
So I'm going for Rose's mother.
Key: Complain about this post
