I'm looking forward to Chris's Doctor addressing the camera directly and wishing the viewers a merry Christmas.

I won't be watching it on Saturday either.
I hope my son will though, in his bedroom
Bliss. A whole episode of Doctor Who undisturbed!!

We didn't watch Saturday's ep properly cos we were videoing it and busy doing other stuff and it seemed quite complicated to follow *and* simultaneously explain to the children ...
... but we forgot to take the video off pause!

<<*Decide's not to admit she saw Star Wars at the cinema the first time round*>>
Er, me too...
I have to say, I don't like Star Wars all that much.

It's strange how a big house can shrink, when the inhabitants get more stuff... We have three large plastic boxes of DVDs and a cardboard carton (which used to contain a gas heater) full of videos, umpteen CD racks, a gazillion books over every available surface... and the place was so large and bare when we moved in, in 1996...
I'd hate to have to give any of it up, and my son would absolutely refuse to give up any of his, but when I had to back in the 1980s, give up the previous lot, if was indeed very liberating!

So, he's into Star Wars then? So's mine, *he* has two movies on DVD, the two most recent ones..
So, you might get some peace, Galaxy Babe? (Let's hope..)

Oh, Grease... It was released on DVD here about 2003, and there was a huge promotion... I've only ever seen it on TV. A little bit of trivia, an actor from Grease (Jeff Conaway) was in Babylon 5, playing Zack Allen. Brilliant, but then B5 is/was. (Sorry for the B5 interruption, all).

He still appears in Grease on stage as Vince Fontaine
B5 is one of the best Sci Fi shows, didn't go much on Crusade

*fingers crossed*
He doesn't like Star Wars specifically, just anything with guns and shooting and bombs going off.
I don't know about anyone else, but I'm finding "big bad wolf" references all over the place, in my RL.
I wouldn't want to delve into the Doctor's psyche but he's probably borderline psychotic. He's not a "people person" but he needs one special person in his life so he doesn't brood to much. A distraction, not too hard on the eyes.Rose seems to bring out the softer side of him, plus a kind of paternal pride.
Can't wait to see him get mad at her again.

As the first dvd comes out on Monday I think it safe to say they'd be pretty p*ss*d and really you shouldn't be encouraging piracy on a BBC site...
