LARPing? Live Action Role-Playing... it's kind of like Dungeons and Dragons except we actually dress up and spend an entire weekend pretending to be a character.

Actually it does sound like a larf. Amate of mine years back was Sealed Knot and I was always trying to get him to take me with him. The I found out that girlies weren't allowes to might and I'd just have to be a camp follower or summat.

There's no such sexism in LARP, girls can do everything the boys can!

I've always liked the idea of D&D style LARP, but hubby never too keen. I think it may have something to do with the "psycho-bitch-from-hell" type characters that I always played on table-top versions. Well, you have to get your frustrations with the world out somewhere, right?
Dr Who LARP - anyone know of any?

I've never heard of any Doctor Who LARPs... there is a Stargate one, though.
Here are a couple of fantasy LARPS which I know of:

http://www.shardslrp.com (which is the one I do)

My whole family would disown me if I did LARP anyway it's not my thing, a Guy I used to work with did a Sealed Knot thing only this was the American Civil War, he was a Confederate Soldier who specialized in Desertian and being executed for cowardice, he did say there were women in his group usually portraying nurses

Executuion was for many years the standard punishment for wartime desertion.

I'm not sure but I think it still stands, I'll ask Excelsior when I see him
Graham (My mate) was once picked off whilst running from battle

Don't mean to be rude, but any chance you guys could start a new LARP thread?
I keep checking up for new Dr Who news...

Fair point, I don't know how so I'll leave that.
Did I read something about a Who christmas special?
Dr Who
Reefgirl (Brunel Baby) Posted May 11, 2005
I thnk the Who xmas special is when he regenerates
Dr Who
A. Honeybadger Posted May 11, 2005
There is a Christmas Special planned, but it's pure speculation as to whether there will be a regeneration in it. Might save that for start of the new series? Might not do one at all...
I wouldn't execute members of my family for not being into Who, just not speak to them for a while.... they'd probably be happy with that though!
