yeah, but do they really have to be cyber-bikini-clad babes?
Isn't that a bit corny?

...did anyone see the Confidential last night?
RTD was full of praise for Torchwood. Shouldn't it be our job to criticise it, not his?
I'm enjoying it so far, on balance. There's something a bit different about it all which makes it a little original.

Why does Owen's mouth only move horizontally?
He reminds me of Terrence and Philip from South Park (or indeed any Canadian South Park characters).
And what on Earth was Gwen doing taking the gizmo home, after all the trouble the team got into in the first episode?

Well, he wrote the first episode but he's not the show-runner, it's Chris Chibnall, so I suppose he's free to say what he likes really.

I loved episode 3. It's great to see the character development. Been racking my brain to remember what the chap who plays Owen has been in before and just realised it was a period drama (Deadwood House or something like that)and he played a rather dubious character.....thought he had a funny looking face then!
Well, I will admit to being TOTALLY hooked on Torchwood and am now getting stupidly excited every Sunday evening!

Aha! Bleak House! Yes, thanks Kerravon - not sure where on earth I got Deadwood from. Had a bit of a brain fade last night and couldn't seem to remember things. Thank you, it was really frustrating me!

It seems I'm not the only one who went searching for places in Cardiff. Torchwood is turning it into a tourist attraction!

'with children **, 11 & **, nine'. Watching a programme with frenzied toilet shagging? Cripes!

Jemstone Posted Oct 31, 2006
Yes I thought that too when I read about the kids watching it. Not something I would let my kids watch at that age (if I had any!).

My folks wouldn't have let me watch it either. Worked a treat: look what a paragon of virtue I turned out to be.

Possibly because there are characters in it called Lord and Lady Dedlock. Not that much of a leap to Deadwood

Thanks Smij. I knew I must have got dead (or ded) from somewhere. I would have gone as far as saying - that period drama with Scully playing the miserable wife with the illegitimate child by a chap called Nemo- had I completely forgotten!
Ta!
