There was a competition about it on BBC7 yesterday (just before the 99p challenge in the comedy club)

The BBC Torchwood website is now open. Just been for a look around - there is a tour of the Hub, but not much info/detail on there yet. I guess it will be added to as the episodes are shown. There is just enough on there to give a taster of things to come!

From what i've seen it doesn't look like the best thing on at the moment...

I've got to ing well work so I'm going to have to set the video for SG-1, I won't bother with Atlantis as I've seen it already and I'll be home in time for 4400

Torchwood is on the front cover of the Radio Times for next week. How many Doctor Who-related covers does that make this year?
And I see that there's a BBC Two repeat on Wednesday nights too.

Probably... I'll go home and count, but so far probably 5ish

Jim Lynn Posted Oct 18, 2006
Well, if you count Christmas...
Christmas cover
New Earth
Rise of the Cybermen
Army of Ghosts (just Billie Piper)
Doomsday (choice of Dalek or Cyberman
I think that's it. So 5.

If you have read recent Radio Times then I think we may need to start a spoiler thread to discuss contents of it's pages

I have read it but I fell asleep half way through though...
So I can't remember [I'm very very tired ]

My mum saw yet another piece on Torchwood this time on Breakfast TV and said
"I'm sick of this already and it hasn't started yet"
Are the BBC in danger of flogging it to death before it's even got going, there is such a thing as overkill

Hmmm...seems to be the way BBC markets itself these days ...all seemed to star with Who , then Robin Hood and now Torchwood (Have noticed huge adverts on busses too).

I find that the more a show is hyped the more mediocre the it is. I've found some of the best shows have started off with a whimper rather than a bang, Red Dwarf, Blackadder, X Files, 4400 to name a few, the shows you want to watch rather than the shows everyone else is because the adverts are good.

But it doesnt necessarily follow that just because a show is hyped that it is bad.

Reefgirl (Brunel Baby) Posted Oct 21, 2006
I never said it was proven fact, I've just found that when a show's over hyped that I tend to be disappointed

Jemstone Posted Oct 21, 2006
Yeah it does happen often, especially with movies. I'm still looking forward to Torchwood tomorrow if only to see Captain Jack again

Reefgirl (Brunel Baby) Posted Oct 22, 2006
Well that was a complete load of
Even ing over Capt Jack can't make me watch the second one.
What a disappointment
