Mr. Dreadful - But really I'm not actually your friend, but I am... Posted Nov 15, 2006
In my opinion, the Doctor being half-human should be consigned to the same deep dark hole that the "Eye of Harmony is in the TARDIS and is only openable by humans or human cross-breeds" is kept.
But that's just my opinion.
Anyway, I want DT to stay for as long as he can... while I must admit that I'm becoming increasingly cynical about New Who I *really* like how he plays the part and you can tell he's having fun doing it.
As for the "companion being a future Doctor" thing... if handled well (cf., as Jim pointed out, Planet of the Spiders & Logopolis) it would be ace.

Oh, and as a complete tangent, one thing that would be interesting (given the moaning that the current console room attracted when first revealed) would be if the old console room has become the secondary one. This breifly came up in an 8th Doctor novel and it seemed like an interesting idea that could work quite well if it's not overused.

Well, let's stick the thirteen incarnation limit down the same deep dark hole, if we're allowed to do that.
I can't see the 'c. is a f. Doctor' idea working, a bit too geeky and complicated for a mainstream audience. (I like Dr Who being a mainstream show!)
Same goes for any ideas involving new and other bits of the TARDIS. The TARDIS should be (IMHO) the way to get to adventures, not an adventure in itself.

The Christmas Invasion is one of my favourite episodes: I hope this year's matches it!

All I've seen is the general BBC One trailer, which includes a couple of quick scenes from the Christmas special (including one very interesting shot of the Tardis in flight). I haven't seen a Doctor Who-only trailer yet, and I'm not sure when we should expect one.

Probably soon, but they had better be careful.
If there is an alien invasion every Christmas, then people would start to hate Christmas - logical?
