Returning to the original theme of the thread: BBC7 is broadcasting the audio version of 'Shada' - written by Douglas Adams for Tom Baker's Doctor, but starring Paul McGann in the audio version - starting on Sunday!
See http://www.bbc.co.uk/bbc7/drama/index.shtml?Sunday for broadcast times.

I couldn't stand that Peter Kay episode. Although in fairness they did have to create a story round a monster designed by a Blue Peter Competition winner, which couldnt've been particularly easy. Thought Marc Warren was quite amusing tho with all his dancing to those ELO records
Yeah, between now and Christmas its going to seem like ages-I'm suffering Doctor Who withdrawal symptoms already!
Is there going to be a box set out anytime soon? It annoys me that they keep splitting the epsiodes from each season over several DVDS.

There's a box set due out in November, I believe. Online stores are taking orders now.

Yeah I've started listening to the Shada series on BBC7 as well.
I always missed the first one in the series though...

Some news from Cardiff. More fun than a spoiler.
DOCTOR WHO'S David Tennant has replaced the Queen on thousands of pounds of fake banknotes...

So cool! What is the inscription on the left? I can just about make out "no second chances" but can't read the second line. Bet they were fun to play with!

Reefgirl (Brunel Baby) Posted Jul 27, 2006
The second line is "I'm that sort of a man"

Anyone in the West Yorkshire area might like to know about this forthcoming event at the National Museum of Photography, Film & Television in Bradford:

The NMPFT is 10 minutes' walk away from my flat. I rather think I'll be materialising there.

awww! lucky!
Bradford is miles away for me
dammit!
btw, have my eyes gone funny or does that Tenner say 'Ten Satsumas'?!
Fantastic!
...I love Doctor Who...its so random...!

Dark Side of the Goon Posted Aug 10, 2006
The Tennant Tenner does indeed say "Ten Satsumas" - which is, of course, a Christmas Invasion reference.

Jozcoz Posted Sep 8, 2006
They're playing "Storm Warning" on BBC 7 now - it's pretty good!
(And if you missed the Shada series you can hear it on the BBC's classic Dr Who website... i found it by typing in Shada)

Not sure if you all know this already, but in the New Year, BBC7 is broadcasting a brand new series of audio adventures starring Paul McGann. These have been produced by Big Finish specifically for BBC7 (ie, they've not previously been available to buy) and have a stunning cast of guest performers, including Timothy West and Roy Marsden.

Thanks for the reminder , I did read that a while back somewhere..can't remember where though.
Have also "borrowed" eldest's audio books of recent Who novels read by David Tennent .... good stories and well read by the fellow.
