That's got to be my favourite spimcoot thus far
In a world of black-wearers, more people should want to be space-hoppers LOL.

I agree!
It looks as if Gwennie has followed his lead in her choice of clothing for the BFG's!
I better send him a reminder about this week. With this threatened downtime on Thursday I want to make sure that it arrives in time for inclusion!

Message received, indirectly. Am racking brains for happy birthday ideas... brains claim to know nothing, shall try the bum screws and hope for more success.
Note: 'bum screws': an innocent joke about torture, no sexual reference intended... honestly, you should all be ashamed of yourselves.

You can hardly blame us though spimcoot!
Glad you indirectly got the message... it saves me putting fingers to keys I suppose!
How's the Mac? Working yet?

After a fashion but no plain sailing - I would Knife the Mac if I didn't know that it was just my good old computer jinx squatting on me. Had hoped that I could shrug it off by avoiding PCs, but no. So far attempts to send scanned images have failed at the other end... worrying. Scant choice of formats too.

Perhaps you need some better graphics programs spimcoot? Let me know if you are still having probs and I'll try to find a shareware or tryout one for you to get hold of!
Did the computer 's drop round and sort you out yet?

You could be right there - the graphics package that came with the scanner is cheap, if not particularly cheerful. Mind you, it's only the right format I need - I don't intend to start indulging in Wowbaggery.
A kind offer nevertheless, thank you. Something compatible with OS 9 should do the trick. Hope to have something to you Tuesday pm. Will that be soon enough?
(I feel a bit naked having this conversation in a thread. I suppose it's the influence of the mac: let everyone see the workings. But still, brr.)
As for computer bods, I now have a hotline to Apple and have reinstalled the thing three times with another pending. Ten minute set ups are for the birds.

Oh the comp has
pretty teeth dear...
Please don't succumb to Wowbaggery Mr spimcoot sir (and don't substitue the 'a' for a 'u' either )
